The Foundation of Goodness is a not-for-profit NGO registered in both Sri Lanka and USA. It was set up by Kushil Gunasekera in 1999, to provide essential services to his ancestral village of Seenigama. Since then, he has been joined by a dedicated Board of Trustees and a committed team based in Seenigama and Colombo, all working together with villagers and donors to uplift the lives of rural communities in Sri Lanka.

AUSLMAT raises money in Australia to buy medical supplies in Sri Lanka for medical clinics and hospitals. The team is made up of doctors and other health practitioners, their families and friends. AUSLMAT visits Sri Lanka generally each year (sometimes more often) and every visit includes delivery of donated medical equipment and other supplies, hospital lectures, ward rounds, and assisting clinics in remote areas and orphanages.
